Jane Billinghurst, Co-Author of Forest Walking: Discovering the Trees and Woodlands of North AmericaJane Billinghurst is a nature enthusiast, master gardener, editor, translator, and author of six books. She has translated and edited several books by Peter Wohlleben, including the New York Times bestseller The Hidden Life of Trees. For this book, she took a four-month trip visiting forests around North America including giant redwoods in California, piney woods in Texas, bottomland forests in southeastern states, deciduous forests reclaiming agricultural land in the northeast, and the boreal forest in Quebec. She lives next to 2,800 acres of community forest lands in Anacortes, Washington, where she regularly walks under Douglas firs, red cedars, and hemlocks.
